Especially when India is a country which does not follow the nuclear non-proliferation treaty

Actually, India is kinda jealous that Pakistan gets some pamperment from the US, because Afganistan is a front line in the war against extremism. Pakistan did a pretty good job at rooting out the Taleban, they have captured or killed more Taleban rebels than any other force.

This nuclear package is more like a lolly pop candy given to the Indians. US just did that to make them happy. India blames Pakistan for nearly everything, even the recent war in Lebanon (LOL).

But I certainly believe that this would only proof further that there is a dangerous arms race in Asia. What if China provides nukes to Pakistan? They are already cooperating in a sophisticated aerospace project, where some of those technologies (surprisingly) came from Israel. And what if Russia gives further Nuclear technology to Iran?

Only time will tell.

The only thing Congress approved last week for India was that the US is going to give India peaceful nuclear energy technology. There is not going to be uranium. Most likely blueprints to build nuclear power plants and ways to efficiently enrich uranium for nuclear power.

1) Stop being a dedede, and learn how to read
2) The U.S. Congress has approved the shipping fuel grade uranium for use in Nuclear power plants. Not nuclear weapons.

India is making a mistake accepting the weapons. They should look to Iraq as to what they face in the future.

I don't think the US is shipping any nukes to India. The Indians make their own.

No - probably just means that Bush is aiming to pursuade India to attack Pakistan... (which, we all know by now, is Bin Laden's hiding place and the source of the Taliban's resurgence)

And, naturally, GW wants any nu-CU-lar retaliation from Pakistan to be directed against India - NOT THE USA...!!!
