I have applied some balms and all that but it just wont work. Its only the second day but its really painful to even look around. Please help! Also please don't suggest medicines which may not be available here in India. Thanks.

dont force it... mine gets healled with no massage, no balms or etc. in 3 days or so... just give it a rest.

If you are otherwise healthy and this sprain is a sudden onset, the only reason is bad posture in sleeping. This happens.
Put castor oil and give it a downward massage for 10 minutes.
Lie down on a rolling pin and it has to be a hard surface. Place the pin where it hurts. Roll it in a thick towel if the pin is not at least 4" in diameter. Rest for about 10 minutes.
Get up like a new person.

You just suffered your injury yesterday. It may take up to several weeks for it to heal. If you continue to have problems after that I would seek out a consultation with a Physical Therapist (would be called a Physiotherapist in India). In the mean time just perform gentle stretching and range of motion activities. Do not do any quick or forceful activities. You need to allow your body to heal.

A sprained neck can be painful for a long time. Have you seen a doctor to be sure it's a muscle sprain and not a spinal problem such as a herniated disc? You really should.
