Does he have friends and family? They are usually the best source for finding an eligible woman for your dad. Talk to them and let them know that you would appreciate it if they can give your dad some prospects.
Internet dating is not a good place to start. It's full of shallow, fat, ugly bi*ches who think they deserve to be with Brad Pitt. There is a good reason why they are all single and looking on the Internet.
Show him how to use email so he can contact women introduced to him by people he knows, but don't put him through the trials and tribulations of Internet dating.

it's great that you want to help your dad, but maybe the best thing you could do would be to save up some money and, perhaps as a Christmas present, buy him a book called "How to Stop Smoking and Stay Stopped" by Gillian Riley. you can order it through Amazon.
