Hey Sweet...,

Each location, for example States of the United States, govern their own laws about adoption. You can search for your locations laws about adoption. In the meantime, you should register with the adoption sites to get information. Sometimes, Birth parents feel compelled to try to contact Adopted children, and it only works if both are registered.

No. Birth Certificates are official records and are not available on the internet but must be acquired from the state agency in your state of birth. If the record is sealed you would need to get a court order to obtain your birth mother's name.

You can't get a free copy anywhere, you have to pay.

And if it's sealed you can only get it by going through the courts

go to the local town/city clerk get what they have..then go to country then state. I know someone who did this and sure enough one of those agencies had the original mother/fathers name..where the other didn't..Good luck..otherwise you would have to pay someone to research this info..
