She has to learn that she has to respect other people's stuff.
Also she needs to learn that celebrating a birthday doesn't mean being respectless to her siblings.
Explain her this. But if you're afraid that it will turn out in a fight, talk to your parents about this. I really do hope they don't agree with your sister just because that's easier.
Tell your sister you love her. And that's why you're all celebrating her birthday. That's why she has got all those presents.
Ask her if she loves you too. And that you would really appreciate it if she would respect you and that you don't like other people using your stuff, unless you've given them permission.
And that you'd like to make a deal about it.
She doesn't touch your stuff, not even on her birthday.
And you won't touch her stuff, not even on your birthday.
See if it works. Try to stay calm during all this.
If it doesn't work out, you could always start yelling at her again.
I hope you two will work it out.
When you're both adult you'll be laughing about the whole matter.
Good luck...

I hate when little sisters do that. My sister's one too. And to be honest I haven't a clue how to control mine. But all people are different and I've tried sooooo many things one must work for you!
* Give her it, smile sweetly, and be really nice to her, and by doing that, annoying her.
* Hold it out until she says the 'magic' word.
* Refuse to give it to her, it's that simple.
* Say she can have it if you can borrow something of hers.
* If she breaks it she's buying you a new one.
These are kinda the things for a normal day. But it is her birthday after all. You could try beinbg nice to her. But in saying that, how nice is she to you on YOUR birthday.

Maybe, your sister doesn't get special attention from you. Since, it is her birthday, at least try to be nice so when your birthday comes, you can do whatever you want too! :) after all, what damage can it do if you let her listen to your ipod?Unless, she returns things broken lmao...
Just take it lightly you know, you'll have your turn someday :)

Assuming that both your sister and yourself are still living at home, it's your parents who should be controlling your sister's inappropriate behaviour. It's natural to want to feel "special" on one's birthday, and most families would contribute toward making the birthday girl or boy feel just that, but a birthday is no excuse for bratty behaviour. Your sister needs to hear this, and she needs to hear it from your parents.

C'mon! It's her birthday! It's only once a year, let her be happy :) And then the next 364 days, torture the little brat!

sisters can be so special cant they? I know she can be annoying but, it is only ONE day a year she is acting up that bad right? Allow her to act up just a bit, but let her know she can be extra special but there is a fine line between extra special and a brat.

Tell her that someday will be your day too. Tell her that you will do the same thing when it's your birthday. But, don't be too mean to her because maybe it's her day.
