God didn't create aids as a punishment.
It started out as a monkey disease.
God was just being nice when He tried to warn us about dangerous life-styles.
God did, however, warn us that sex outside of marriage (a legal contract) and having many sexual partners would lead to disease and death.
Sexually transmitted disease existed in Biblical times. Back then, they didn't know what germs were, but they did understand that loose living people got sick and died! Wikipedia explains that the term 'venereal disease' originated from the latin root from Venus, a Roman godess.
Our free living life-styles are STD's best friends. Everything from warts, to anti-biotic resistant strains of Gonorrhea and Syphilis.

No. For a God of Love to create AIDS would be impossible on His part. Our imperfection & the way we live our lives today has created AIDS. The Bible clearly warns about men lying with men (Romans 1:27), and to abstain from the use of blood, (Acts 15:29). Man reaps what we sow, (Galatians 6:7&8). All the things that man is suffering from now will be a thing of the past in the near future under God's Kingdom, (Revelation 21:3&4).

We are entering the 21st Century, and people are still clinging to the "diseases are punishments from the Gods" rational to explain what they don't understand. There's nothing I can say to convince you if that is what you truly believe, but for the record I will say it anyways...
There are many living organisms on this planet we call Earth, and six billion happen to be of the homo sapiens variety - human beings. Every now and again, a 'disease' will make a cross-species jump from a non-human source to a human population - examples include Ebolavirus, AIDS and Avian Influenza. That is, the disease originally adapted itself to a non-human host, then was transmitted to human beings via consumption of infected animal meat, or animal bites, or handling of infected animals. Different diseases have different methods of transmission and different methods of treatment.
While this is a quick and dirty explanation, it is better than perpetuating the myth that "Gods punish humans"...

I suppose anyone is at risk but looking at how it started and how is *most affected by it makes you wonded huh?
Intercourse with a monkey is just wrong
Gay or not anal sex cause more blood to be transfered thus higher risk
I am not sure of what the bible says about blood, i know there is something but as said getting another person's blood.
If you consider your question as plausable you must also consider the cures getting better as people are getting better.
I do think about think like this often and always wonder why something manifested, is it deeper than just happening.

Punishment for needing a blood transfusion? And I thought this one was just mildly ridiculous before I read that one.

Read Leviticus, you'll see what God thinks of gays. This is the best thing God has ever done for me. It punishes the men who molested me when I was 13 and 17. I hope they have it.

God created a perfect world. Man was the one who created sin by disobedience. There are natural consequences for our sin. Aids is one of them. God will forgive our sins, but the consequences still remain. Thus, God did not create Aids, man did.

Don't know but yes, like what one of the answerers said, it was possible that the victim of AIDS may have contracted the disease from having a sexual intercourse with a monkey or some other kind of infected animal.

According to a recent documentary on the Discovery Health channel...
AIDS is traced to have began in apes in the jungles of Africa. Monkey brains is considered to be a delicacy there...humans who have ingested the AIDS infected meat acquired the virus and began passing it on to other humans through heterosexual contact.

those who have had blood transfusions make up a very small number of the above... but it wouldn't be a stretch to believe it is a punishment to those who engage in extra-martial sex and homosexual activity.
