We appear to be a group of people out to get something for ourselves. We want to go to Heaven, we want to keep from going to hell. Too many Christians say "If I get to Heaven someday." For Pete's sakes, if you are a Christian and even you don't know if you are going to Heaven or not, why bother. And top that off with "I'm going to Heaven and you're not", that just ices the cake.
Then how about the people with the 150 things you have to do to be saved. Where do they come up with all that? IF GOD IS ABSOLUTE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE, (AND HE IS). THEN GOD DOES NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS. The Thief on the cross did not GET BAPTIZED, DID NOT GO TO CHURCH, DID NOT SAY HE WAS SORRY, DID NOT ASK FORGIVENESS. HE ONLY SHOWED HIS FAITH BY SAYING "REMEMBER ME". "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."
We need to express to others-the unconditional love of God, not the conditions we want to place upon them. ITS GODS LOVE NOT OUR EXPECTATIONS AGREE?

Yes I agree. The Bible calls us to be witnesses, not lawyers.

There are a lot of people out there that call themselves Christians who aren't. They are Satans advocates. The bad thing it that they may not even know it. I have noticed that many with new Christians, they seem to think they are all knowing even if they are not well read on the bible. I have a nephew that is this way. He thinks he can do no wrong and doesn't know that some of the things he does is sinning. People see him doing this and think it's ok to be a Christian and do that. Or else they think if that is a Christian, I don't want to be one. I don't dare say anything or else be Satan myself. I understand. I have been done this way by my own family. We just have to have our OWN personal relationship with God and do the best we can for God. Myself, I would rather take the chance of them being mad at me for pointing out something they are doing against God so that they might correct it in time than to just let them keep on going the way they are without saying anything. I think God would want us to at least try. The Bible says that Christians will be condemned in the end days for trying to do Gods will. That time is upon us.

I think everyone is responsible for their perspectives. I am an atheist, and my view of Christians is simply that they made a different choice than I did. If you find happiness or solace in any belief at all, you should stick with it.

You know, it's funny, but a major turnoff for me about Christianity is that I'd feel kind of guilty helping people and doing good and so forth and doing it with a reward in mind. I'd rather just do it because that's what I do.

Actually I blame the Christian more than the atheist. if the Christian misrepresents their faith then the atheist is not burdened with the duty of understanding what true Christianity is.

It is indeed our love of God the Flying Spaghetti Monster and His wiggling noddley appendages!
Let's all cook and eat pasta to worship Him
