Yes, you should go out with him. It's not that big of a deal. What's the harm in going out with him? At the worst, you'll have a bad night out. Boo hoo.

You seem to be pointing out the age thing. At the age of 18 you are able to make up your own mind. You say "back out with him." which means you've been with him b4? He may be mature enough to treat you well. But we are not talking about marriage. and so if you find he is not for you then you could always end your relationship. Good luck. xx

Seriously, this is entirely up to you. Do you even fancy him?
If he is fun, and a good friend, and you want to lick his lips, then hell yes go out with him!
If you are worried coz he asked you in a text, then don't. You are never going to know a world without text message dating, I did, and it was embarrassing and really sucked. Text flirting is MUCH easier.
Go for it, but only if YOU want to.

I think the fact you are asking this forum makes me question if you want to go out with him. Do you like him? Do you feel comfortable around him? If the answer is yes, then why not? he is only asking for a date. Now if the answer is NO to the above, then you know what to do.

If you've been out with him before -you should already know the answer to your question. For most fellas, that sort of thing is only a crude joke, and they don't really mean anything by it. If you aren't sure you trust him anyway -leave him well alone.

I think its the age difference that is worrying you most, i am 21 and my boyfriend is 37. I dont let what other people think affect my life, and neither should you.
If you like this guy and he treats you with respect then why not go out with him, life is too short!!

If he only say that in text messages, you shouldn't be bothered, you know. If he's really sincere about you, he would go and be there personally to say those things to you. You can always say anything by text, you know, including things your really don't mean. If he's real about it, he should say it to your face...
