If you do mean a Pro Hart painting then I would not part with such a thing. I would sell anyting but the Pro Hart. His works are amazing and will only increase in value and there is no such thing as a bad Pro Hart all his works are extraordinary.

If you mean a professional artists work then your first step in selling it is to get it professionally vauled by an art valuer. This will not be cheap but is the only way to value an artwork accurately.

if u do, that guy made a lot of paintings. if its a good one you want to talk to the auction houses, if its not take it into a commercial gallery that sells that kind of thing. check ebay. or you might have to pay for it to get looked at if its almost worthless. put a picture up and the info, i'll see if i know anyone. i think there are publications around of recently auctioned art, try christies or sothebys, get a copy of art collector magazine.
