Ok. i have moderate acne pretty much all the time on my chin, occasionally on my forehead. I drink at least 1 litre of water a day, usually more, i eat fruit and vegetables, i cleanse with products containing salycylic acid and tea tree and also moisturise to stop my skin drying out. I have no idea why i still get it...it annoys the hell out of me! I do eat alot of chocolate....maybe i should cut it out and see what happens. I have been told loads of times that chocolate is not linked to spots. hmmm. confuuuuused.

Once before, it happens to me. I had Acne problem. I consulted a doctor. He prescribed a medicine for my Acne. Try to avoid sleeping in late night(i mean make sure u have a balance hours of sleep in a day,as it would likely affect ur hormones system, and there's where u will likely get 'spots' appearing on ur face). I would say u should cut down ur chocolate bite for this time being. Maybe u could eat some, a small portion will not harm u. One more thing to avoid is.... Don't be stress...
For the Acne spot, u could purchase Neutrogena On the Spot Acne Treatment Cream. U should apply it on Acne pimples.. It works well!! Good luck!

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

I have trouble with break-outs too. I started this routine a few years ago and it has helped dramatically. It will only cost you under $10. Go to your local Walgreens, CVS, or WalMart to purchase these items.
-Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash
-Zapzyt 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel
You need to make the following a daily routine in order to get results.
MORNING:
Wash your face with the Cleansing Wash.
PAT your face dry
Apply any oil-free sunscreen
EVENING:
Wash your face with the Cleansing Wash
PAT your face dry
Apply the Zapzyt on your breakouts very liberally. You also should apply where you tend to break out to prevent any future flareups.
My brother and I suffer from acne, but by sticking to this routine we have both been acne-free. Good Luck

Get tested 2 find out why U get it. I first got acne problems >30 years ago. I still get acne & wash gently w/ warm soapy water. Wash every day @ least, after exercise, & b4 bed. Keep clean, exercise gently. Avoid rubbing or touch skin & avoid excess skin product such as moisterizer. Small amts products as benzoil peroxide - over counter acne cream was big help 4 me. Probably also helps 2 keep active. When I gain weight acne seems 2 get worse. Avoid over drying as U found out that doesn't help! U r on right track figure out what is the problem!

Most often the cause of spots and acne is stress! Make sure that the products you are using are not stripping your skin and leaving it feeling tight - if this is the case, it is stripping the skin of its natural oils and your skin is thinking....mmmmmm....i've got no natural oil left...let me produce double the amount to compensate.......and that could be why you are breaking out. Other than that, your breakouts could be due to hormones, esp on the chin area in which case exfoliate the area about twice a week to help with skin renewal and skin smoothness

I used to have bad acne growing up. But I have been using proactiv and my skin is so clean and clear. You have to also watch what you eat. Don't eat too much oily foods and clean your face twice a day with proactiv. You will look like a new person in only a week or two.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

i use "Aztec Healing Clay". it's a maks that you just smooth over your face (and neck) and just let it dry. it takes out all the oily and nasty stuff, and it helps get rid of pimples and other blemishes really quick... plus it's cheap. whenever you put it on, you let it dry for about 20 minutes, and you can feel your face tighten up once it's dry. then you just wash it off with water. i had really bad acne and didn't react to cleansers, lotions and such (like proactive). but i started using this and i could already tell the difference on the first day i put it on. you can easily get it at a health food/product store.

People of any age can get acne and eating chocolate has proved to NOT make a difference. Stay away from proactive. I used it and it got rid of the acne but severely dried my face. Use Lavender Oil. It's perfect and gets rid of all my pimples.
