hope this helps you all.if you are accosted at a bank money machine type in your number backwards eg;1234 would be 4321.the machine will be aware that something is wrong and the police are automatically sent to your assistance without the robber knowing.this was recently on a t.v prog.you would think that people were made more aware of this wouldnt you.

Surely if you typed in your number wrong the machine would just tell you your number was wrong and give you another attempt. You have up to 3 before your card is swallowed by the machine. I'm not sure how the police would be informed - these machine do not have a link to th police.

Notifying people by any form of mass media, would also inform potential robbers. They presumably the robbers would then watch more closely.
