You should be in my shoes! I'm spoilt for choice. If I choose one load of friends I run the risk of upsetting all the others. I have thought of holding a new years eve party but I couldn't possibly fit them all into my house.

I am sorry about your situation, however, why not go to evening classes, English looks like a good start, visit your local library and get books to read, see your local church and give them a hand with their charitable stuff.
There is so much to do, but YOU have to put something in.
Remember you can take nothing out of an empty pot but if you put something in it then you can then take something out.
