I'm not 100% atheist, but I agree with atheists on more things than I do with any other group as far as religion is concerned.

Yes, I am. To me, there is little difference between religion and mythology. Christianity demands that its followers believe in god without a shred of proof or be condemned to spend eternity in hell. Yet with science, we're unlocking the mysteries of how the universe works through hard work and dilligence. I'll take Einstein and Darwin over a bunch of ancient Hebrews any day.

If you REALLY want to know why I'm an atheist, read this: http://www.xanga.com/kilotrixium/547209217/the-existence-of-god.html That is a blog a wrote about the existence of god the other day. It doesn't capture all my thoughts, but a good bit of them.

Christians are atheist to be honest, they reject the spirit of their church and reject any higher aspects of mystical/esoteric reality, which the church in the first 3 centuries was known for.

Btw I'm not atheist, I'm a Gnostic. But if I had to pick between Atheism and fundamentalist chistianity, I pick Atheism.

I am agnostic because i believe that you can never be certain of anything.

I don't believe that a god exists and have an intense dislike of the arrogance of christians who believe that they know.. Take a look at many of the answers to this question, you will find supercillious, arrogant, self satisfied, smug responses typical of christians

Yes.

Religion never made any rational sense to me. Once the idea that it was something that adults did that a kid couldn't understand fell away it disintegrated into a collection of absurd ideas or behaviors, and spite-full or covertly self-interested motives.

Somethings wrong with a God concept that was the 'brainchild ' of people who thought that if you got to close to the edge of the Earth, you fell off. A God concept that has taken over 100 million lives and encourages it's followers to ignore it. I hope that you don't.

No, because it serves no benefit to be an Atheist. If I am right and there IS a GOD... then my reward is ETERNAL life... and if I am wrong... I am no worse for the wear. But if there is a GOD and I didn't believe in him... that would mean that I lost everything. So... it's in everyone's benefit to believe in GOD.

Technically I'm not, but I don't believe in a supreme god or a creator god, which makes me good-as in a lot of ways.

It's simply the way I view the world, the things I've learned and how I've processed them. That's about it.
