To win any competition, yes you need to be fast, strong, and have skills, but what is the biggest aspect in winning a competition? Is it true that mental strength is the biggest aspect in physical competitions?

absolutely.
you have to want the win more than anything. sure, you cant go into a competition and not know the moves and still expect to get a first place, but the key thing is to have the mentality and mindset to win, and for the moves
if you give your mentality to your moves, then they will be so much better.

When it comes to physical competitions, it is all of style, physical strength, and mentality that results in winning.

If two people have similar physical abilities, then the mentality will make a big difference. But if one person clearly has a big edge in terms of physical abilities, then no matter how much the other person's mentality is stronger, the other person cannot win.

Tough mentality wil raise your level in everything. but mentallity is not what winning is all about. One of the mentallity that i discovered is that you have to believe that you CAN beat him yet remain relaxed and do not freak out when things dont go the way you want. I was a competitive table tennis player and when I lost a stupid point or lost the someone whom i should beat I get very ticked off. But tough mentallity is accepting your mistakes and failure, and try to improve and become a better player.

No. It's definitely important, but most of the time even mental strength can't overcome pure ability.

Well both answers above pretty much sum it up. You could have best mentality strenght in whole world, but in the end if you dont have any techniques, size, and other advantages, you will lose!
