Yes, bicarbonate of soda does work. BUT baking powder is a mix of bicarbonate of soda & tartaric acid so make sure you buy bicarbonate of soda and NOT BAKING POWDER. Acid is not good for your teeth. You only need to use the bicarb once or twice a week. Make sure you rinse well and don't swallow it. People buy other products because 1. they believe the marketing propoganda and 2. there seems to be a belief that the more something costs the more effective it must be.

You can try it and see if it may help. It was one of the first things people used before toothpaste came out. It use to be made out of
powder. Just make sure you brush at least one a day with a fluoride
toothpaste for your cavities..And NEVER rinse with hydrogen
peroxide full strength in the mouth. Dilute it 3/1 with water.
A good whiting toothpaste will do more good tho. Crest and others make whiting toothpaste.

NO.. use neither! Baking soda strips enamel to whiten your teeth! Thus, increasing risk for cavities! To keep teeth white, clean your teeth professionally often! All that stuff you read on toothpaste about whitening teeth is plain crap!

I would say no, because baking soda is effervescent while baking powder is not. I believe it is the effervescence in baking soda that helps in dental care.

baking powder reacts with water and saliva is mostly water...what could happen is that your mouth would froth up...

Yah, try using hydrogen pewroxide or your baking powder...this is true...but it is better if you mix them both...a teaspoon of soda for every 4 tablespoons of hydro pero

Hoping you would have a white smile

You can, but it will not be effective. Baking soda is cheaper anyway, and so is a big bottle of peroxide.
