I don't know what Aerogard is, but your vet could tell you whether or not it's safe, and he/she could probably give you some other recommendations. We have horses and cows, and we buy these wipes at the feed store that have bug repellant on them--you wipe down the animal, and the flies stay away (for a few days, anyway, then you have to do it again). The animals don't like the stuff, but they like the flies even less.

First of all, how can you just stand by and allow your dog to go through all this, second, you need to bring him inside for a bit, give him some relief and see a vet as soon as possible. It could very well give him an infection which could lead to something more serious. You may even consider giving him to a new owner, or someone who could give him the TLC he needs.

if you go to any vet, they can give you a cream that you put around the wounds. it repels the flies so the wounds can heal. it's not too pricey either. i would clean the wounds before putting on the cream. i have a lab too and flies love to attack him. this stuff really works.

Yes, but don't spray it on him or it may go in his eyes. Better to get a lotion repellant and rub it on.

You can wipe him daily with Bounce dryer sheets if you carry that brand in your country..they work very well.
