he helped himself from the garbage bin
i found him chewing on used kleenex as usual, (which i dont like him to do) but this time there was gum in it and i didnt see him literally chewing on the gum, but the gum i remember from the gargbage bin wasnt there anymore either, so im pretty sure he chewed on it or ate it or something, so anyway, is this bad?

Well my answer is probably too late but my guess is it's nothing to be too concerned about. My pitt bull weighed 70 lbs when he was full-grown. And he ate an entire years worth of heartworm pills. I couldn't remember exactly how many were left in the package that he had eaten, but I think he has about 10 pills (1 pill per month). He was fine - no problem. I've had other dogs eat things such as - an entire car floor matt, an electrical cord off of a hand drill (that was still plugged in at the time), multiple pairs of boots and shoes and hip waders, light bulbs, etc. And all of those cases caused no damage at all. I highly doubt that a few tylenol will be a problem. But it wouldn't hurt to give your vet a call. Good luck.

A single, small piece of gum shouldn't harm your dog. If he happened to eat several sticks of chewing gum or a whole pack, it may cause intestinal blockage or food poisoning from the artificial sweetener (deadly to dogs). But such a small dose, shouldn't affect him. He'll pass the gum in a day or so.

But keep an eye on his bowel movements, just in case.

He'll probably be fine.

This is apparently a re-occuring problem. Take measures to ensure your dog cannot get to your trash, that's part of the responsibility of owning a dog. He and you will be happier for it.

If the gum had sorbitol in it is can cause renal failure. Otherwise it should pass in his stool with no problem.

I am sure the dog will be ok, they tend to stick worse in they're mouths.
