If you did serve, you'd understand how you fought for all people's rights. That includes Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, Idiots, and Morons.

Before I go off at the mouth and piss you off. Let me just say I am amazed at the people who made it through the Vet nam. Part of me wishes I was alive during that era and part of me is glad I didn't. But god what a time to be alive. I respect your views and a believer in freedom of speech.
I am so tired of people bitching about Bush. I am not for him, but every goddamn person I come across says they hate him but no one can give me a good solid reason why. Even my political science professor hates him and the only reason I he has told us why is cuz he miss pronounces nuclear. Who gives a rats *** how he pronounces words. You could say cuz he is pro war but every president besides the last one has been in the military and has been on the pro war side some more than others. I just think he has been given some really s hi tty cards. From what I understand about the president is that he holds no real power he is just a figure head. He is servant of the people. Bush is servant to the people we lower class people hate but then again we hold no power anyways so why would anyone listen to us. If you can't tell I hate politics.
To rich B we are loosing the war and the big thing about the election we had was how are we going to gracefully get out of this war. Kinda like Vietnam. The bullshit thing about this war is that we caused it back in the 90's when we trained the same "terrorist" groups only one the news you heard the words "freedom fighter" same group of people. This is why we can't find Bin Ladin cuz he knows exactly how we operate cuz we trained him. We f u cked up and no one wants to admit it.

Let me say this, if we do NOT win this war, if we do not make changes, send additional troops and shift strategy, we stand to lose a lot more than just this war. I would gladly go and serve again if the DOD would allow me to, I feel this strongly about this. We cannot back away now. We have been weakened internally and it began long before this administration or the previous one. This is a make or break deal for us.
EDIT: Yes, mistakes were made, we should not have gone to Iraq in the first place. But that means squat at this moment. Means less than nothing. We better win this war. It is not like VietNam. I am a Nam era vet and I am telling you it is apples and oranges. There were no NVA in their temples inside American borders enjoying the freedom to teach a doctrine of hate for 20 years before the war began.
We have Mosques inside the sovereign borders of this country teaching children the radical Islamic doctrine of hatred for America right now and have been for a very long time. So the war in Iraq is not like VietNam.
We better stop this bickering and stand together to demand this war be won. There will be no graceful exit. You can't put a decent face on this. It is win now, or lose huge, very shortly. This country has been badly weakened for the last 20 years and this political bias and infighting is finishing the job. Don't let your hate for any particular leader blind you to your common sense. Thanks.
And understand the radical Islamic faction has no fear of death. MAD means less than nothing to them, they welcome death.

War is not good, but, I rather fight over there than here, as the third answer says, we stop those 200 nukes in mid air and stick them back up their @ss. Let them get here and then we have the trouble. Had we not stopped Japan after Pearl Harbor the same would have happened, they been half way across America and then we have to push them back. I do know China is a formidable force, answer number three just not realize America is too. Iran is a joke, we sold them good fighter jets then they wanted America to kiss their @ss, well the majority of those jets sit on the pad NOT running because the Iranians not have the Brains to make them go. Ha!

I agree with you 100%.
I feel like sending HIM over there to lead the troops and put his own self in harm's way!!
Whatta lying, fraudulent, election stealing creep!
Now everyone is saying what a mistake it was to invade Iraq!!
Many are saying this is the worst thing America has done since the beginning of our history.
Why didn't they do something BEFORE they let that idiot have his way. Why didn't they question what was going to happen once they GOT Saddam?!!
Many people want him impeached ... there are several books written about that already.
And the last act of Rep Cynthia McKinney was to put in a bill to have him impeached. (as well as Cheney & Rice)
Colin Powell warned Bush ... 'You invade Iraq & you own it' ... meaning it won't be easy to end any conflict there. He KNEW what he was talking about, because he was there for the first Iraq war. But because Bush didn't listen to him, we are in a terrible mess there! No one has an answer for how to end this mess we got ourselves into.
Many are saying that before it's over we will have spent 1-2 TRILLION dollars! That money could have given us the BEST educational system, health care for everyone, and a safe social security system. Bush has thrown away our future. He should not only be impeached ... he deserves worse than that!
God Bless our troops .. I pray they stay out of harm's way and hopefully they will be home soon.

I cant say I am a huge fan of Bush, but he was the lesser or two evils. I have been to Iraq, and I too have a Bronze Star. Although I may disagree with some of his policies, I wont resort to personal attacks on the president.

War is the game of fools. In 1964 the Pentagon came up with a plan, MAD. Mutually Assured Destruction. That means end of life for everybody, plant, animal, earth.
Is war a needed factor? depends on who butters your bread. Are people making vast profits from the war, ya betcha.
What cost is freedom? I have no idea anymore, the Iraqis weren't bothering me, and if they had a WMD, well jeepers, we got a whole mountain full of them, also have 560 on Active Duty in Silos.
We are one button away from total self annihilation, am I worried? no. There's no point anymore, the Lunatics are have taken over the Asylum.

War is never a good thing. BUT, we were attacked. Our response was justified.
HOWEVER, what are we doing in Iraq? We don't have Osama Bin Laden, but we're invading other countries that may or may not pose a threat to us in the near future? And what do all those colors for the alerts mean!?
Its that magician's sleight of hand trick, oh I missed our primary target but oh lookie here I've got another arab country next door so I'm still doing a good job, right?

I have a hard time believing that someone who was in Vietnam would spell it Vet Nam. So my guess is you're some moron pretending that you're a Vietnam veteran. I can say I was in world war 1,but it doesn't mean it's a fact just because I say it.
