i posted in the cat section about my kitten and a sore above her eye. i have since noticed that my staddordshire bull terrier has 3 patches (small) of fur missing as well. plus she has a bump on her chest... could she have contracted worms from my kitten?

Certainly it seems like there is a connection here.
Take your pets to the vet and have them do a skin scraping and examination.
You cannot assume it is one particular parasite, worm or whatever - so don't treat it for something you don't know it has.

It's possible that they have been exposed to ring worm. Ring worm is actually a fungus, and treatable, but you need a vet to be sure. Incorrect treatment can be just as harmful as doing nothing.
If you can't pay, animal control and SPCA offer low cost vet care and know where to find vets who take payments.

EDIT
It could also be other things, you need to take them both to a vet.

It isn't worms. It is ringworm which is a fungus. Get some athletes foot spray Tinactin works quick, and spray the spots daily. You can use the cream as well. But it isn't worms.

It may be ringworm, which is a fungus, and not a worm at all.
ringworm is contagious between all animals, including humans, so if it is, you may get it as well.. You can treat it on yourself , if you get it, with Lotrimin athlete's food medicine,,
