Its ok to become sick of politics and war. But what the Democrats are saying is the truth. Iraq is a disaster. Bush implemented the wrong strategy in Iraq and got the negative results.

Yes I do. I'm 16 and have many conservative republican views. I believe we are doing good in Iraq, but some things could be better. The democrats are going to wind up having us withdraw from Iraq completely and leave the U.S. open to terrorists. It is entirely to late to withdraw from Iraq and I don't think democrats have a better suggestion for whats happening since they don't even want to be there.

Winning Iraq??? Americans??? I don't know how we "win". What are we fighting for and why? Do you know? I have an idea. The only true possible 'winners' of this war will be the Iraqi people and that will happen when their home stabalizes....until then, we are all losers!

I thought WAR was WAR...we've already CRUSHED any clear enemy out of the picture, Iraq's army fell in days.
Lets see...now we are still at "war". WAR is 2 sides or more fighting AGAINST each-other, ....
We are up against coward yellow-bellied terrorists who dont show themselves until they are among the parts left over from explosions that hurt/kill innocent people.
Other than that, WHERES the WAR?

Everybody who does/will not see this for what it really is...and call it a war, needs to stop watching TV, and talk to our troops for the facts...like I do.

American troops are winning their battles but not the war. There are many Americans and Iraqis who's dead. There's a civil war and the Iraq war strategy is not working.

Wouldn't it be more valid to ask if people are sick of not winning in Iraq

as opposed to...the Republicans saying we're not winning? Dude, who today IS saying we're winning? And, considering it's never really been clearly defined by Bush etc. what "winning" would entail, what is YOUR idea of "winning"?

Well, heres my question to you; Are we winning the war in Iraq?

Well, unless Terrorism has been completely abolished and all Nuclear weapons have been found and destroyed We've yet to show signs of victory... If it's any consolation to you though, thousands of people have died in this war... Maybe that's victory enough for Bush?

A win is possible if we insist to our leaders that this is what we want and will settle for nothing less from them. There are things at work here, bad things. We are being weakened from within folks. Not pointing any fingers here, just saying that if we walk away from this war without a decisive win, we will ALL suffer in the long run.

"A civilization is not conquered without, until it is destroyed within"

Will Durant

I have real fears this may be the case here in America.

Here's a prophecy about our current situation, disguised as a nursery rhyme.

"I know an old lady who swallowed a fly
I don’t know why she swallowed a fly
Oh, my, my!!

I know an old lady who swallowed a spider
That giggled and tickled inside her
She swallowed a spider to catch a fly
But I don’t know why she swallowed the fly
Oh my, my!!

I know an old woman who swallowed a cat
Now fancy that, to swallow a cat!
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
But I don’t know why she swallowed the fly
Oh my, my!

I know an old lady who swallowed a dog...

I know an old lady who swallowed a cow...

I know an old lady who swallowed a horse
And that’s the last thing she swallowed, of course!"

Apparently, the lyrics have been changed since I was a kid for political correctness. But you get the point.
