If you live in either Nanaimo, Comox, Cortenay or Campbell River, are these good places to raise kids?
I live in Edmonton and I cannot stand this city, I moved there from Ontario and now I want to move to BC, because it is so pretty and smells fresher.
But I also need to know if its good for kids too.

I personally think there is a balance in the size of a city. Too big brings more crime. Everywhere has a certain percentage of bad seeds, but when the city gets bigger, their is some sort of critical mass to it. And transients increases too. A very small village on Vancouver Island caught a wanted American Family. They were on the lamb and figured they could hide in the middle of nowhere. Wrong, strangers coming to town are noticed! lol. But as well, too small and there isn't enough for kids to do, they get bored and idle hands....

All of the places you mention have their crime. But they are large enough to find a good area of town and have great activities to keep them active. Nanaimo is the largest, so that would probably be my last choice.

Hello. My 5 year old son and I live in Nanaimo. I really enjoy living here. But...My greatest recommendation would be to stick to the North end of town. I don't recommend the schools in the south end. Not because they are rough but it is not as clean. Just like any town or city has a not so nice part of town the south is the not so nice part of it. Nanaimo is not a rough city. It is beautiful. I don't klnow much about comox, courtenay, campbell river but they are high on my list of placees to live if i ever leave Nanaimo. Good luck!

Well, you've been beating up on everyone who answers your questions with stuff you obviously don't want to hear, so I can't help wanting to get in on this too. Some people just shouldn't be parents, own pets or be allowed access to this forum. If you're not getting the answers you want, why do you keep posting question after question?

the place are you entering into B.C.? you will possibly be able to desire to fly homestead on Westjet - tickets are generally in simple terms $ninety 9.00 from B.C. to Alberta, finding on what cities you go away from and fly to. perhaps your grandparents could even pay for the flight - you in simple terms choose a one-way flight so it would not be that high priced. and how come your sister pass to pass and stay with them yet you won't be able to? How previous are you - are you sufficiently previous to be traveling homestead by myself?
