I am from the Philippines and I would like to also know how I can legalise my stay. Any suggestions would muchly be appreciated.

You have to be able to work to obtain a work visa. If you do not have a legitimate job , then you will have to leave. You need to train for a profession that will allow you to stay, such as in the medical profession, an accountant or a lawyer.. Then you can apply for a work visa. But you cannot work while in school either. Go to www.us.gov to look up the requirements for a work visa.

The easiest way is to find a Canadian girl and get married.
