What did it taste like?

For my grandmas birthday we went to a chinese restaurant. They put a cooked dog on the table and all these chinese people came over and started eating it. Then my cousins and all went over to eat it thinking it was lamb. It definately wasnt lamb. They cut of the head of the dog and put it in a bag and then quickly ran back to the kitchen(none of my family saw this happen) Me, my mum and my dad were the only ones who didnt eat the dog. But everyone else did. And apparently to the rest of my family it tasted like really dry lamb.

Nope! Never! But in one of the city of my country Indonesia, which is Menado (Sulawesi) and in Medan (Sumatera) eating dogs is like a habitual. For them dogs is just like the meal you can take everyday. In Manado it called "eRwe" and in Medan it called "Saksang". The make it with lots of spices to reduce the smell. They said it is delicious and it tastes like horse. But, i have never ever imagine to eat dogs, because i love dogs and i have lots of dog in my house. Hope this helps you.

No. I would find it hard to do since I own 2 dogs. The practice is common in Korea and Vietnam.

NO AND I WOULDNT EVEN CONSIDER IT DONT YOU KNOW DOGS ARE MANS BEST FRIEND .PLUS THE FACT I AM A VEGGIE WHY ANYONE FEELS THE NEED TO EAT A ANIMAL IS BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION THERE IS ENOUGH FOOD ON THIS PLANET SO LEAVE THE ANIMALS ALONE AND LET THEM HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE. I suspect I may have . I have been told they are stringy.
Horse is sweet to eat . cat is also soposed to be stringy
They say pig is about as close to eating human as you can get (another white meat)

they serve dog meat in some restaurants here in malaysia, though i have not had any before. however, my dad (by experience) said that it tastes like lamb meat.
