I just can't believe all the responses to your questions!!! Geeeeesh!
Would you ever have trust for a person who rubbed your nose in pee? That is the best way to destroy a trusting bond..
If he isn't neutered, he may be smelling a female in heat nearby..This increases male marking until the female is out of heat.
Otherwise, he is likely to have a UTI, so it is worth getting checked out before you begin scolding..If your dog loves you, then scolding is sufficient discipline.

Sometimes, when we start a dog off with a doggie door, the dog never really is house trained.
If he has been reliable in the house, but just started peeing in the house, get him checked out by a veterinarian immediately. Usually there is a physical cause.
NEVER RUB the Dog's nose in it or spank him. That just makes the dog hide it from the human, and pee when the human isn't watching, sort of like your dog is doing now.
Spanking the dog for urinating in the house really doesn't teach the dog what the human does want, it just satisfies the human's ego.
Try taking the dog outside and giving the dog a huge reward for peeing outside. Dogs are opportunists, if the dog figures out it gets an extra special reward for pottying outside, the dog will go outside.
But first and foremost, get the dog checked by a vet.

When you find it rub his nose in it and tell him "no" in a stern voice. Does he go through the doggy door normally because some dogs are scared of them. Take him outside after every meal, when you wake up and before you go to bed. Sometimes it comes with age, especially in male dogs.
And also reward him when he does it in the right place.

Maybe he has an infection of some kind. Take him to the vet and have him checked out. Are you gone more than usual? Does he get the same attention he used to? Some times if a dog gets lonesome or just wants more attention they do things they won't normally do. Talk to him and tell him he's doing wrong and your tired of it and then spank him a little. If he is deprived of some attention that he is used to getting try to make up for it.

Take him out for a walk more often. May be he needs retraining. If that wont work - consult a vet - it could be a bladder issue

Keep him outside
There is the possibility that another dog is coming in or there is another dog in the neighborhood that he feels threatened by.

Keep him outside.
Lock the door.
If that does not work let PETA find a new home for him.
No... 90% chance PETA woud kill him. remeber PETA kills more animals that it saves!
