i cant get the messy look that i am going for, i can get the front part up but nothing else. can someone give me some tips?

Use extra hold hair spray or gel on wet hair. Bend over so that your hair is somewhat sticking straight up and then blow dry it while you are running your fingers through your hair. If you blow dry it while your head is upside down, then you are making your roots stick up and that will create the messy look. This is what my brother does because he has the same problem that you do and this helps him. Hopefully this will help you too!

try using some wax or pomade on your hair wet, then blowdrying in different directions to get that piecy, all over the place look.

moose and gel and do it wile it's wet and then blow dry for that staying power try a shampoo that gives xtra body patene has one loreal, tresseme has one shop around holding sprays also

dont brush it when you get out the shower and sleep on it then rewet it gel and hair spray it really good

learn how to use a flat iron, then your hair will do anything..lol
