Paul Verhoeven who made Showgirls, Robocop and Starship Troopers is risking death threats to make a movie called "Christ, the Man" theorizing that Jesus may have been a regular ol' dude and not the Son of God. Verhoeven knows the controversy that surrounds the project, and probably knows that it could become his last film in the States.

States don't ban movies, it violates the First Amendment. A lot of movie theaters will not play it though, and people who live in the Bible Belt may have to drive hundreds of miles to see it in a big city independent theater.

1. the movies you listed are the dumbest movies ever
2. I'm guessing the movie would actually gross a lot of money but only because so many people are Athiests and love insulting Christians and pointing out any possible error they can.

Dude if he makes it it will happen. And they can not ban the movie legally , Separation of Church and State and right to free speech. Now there will be protests but people go see it .

No state can, or will, ban the film. Such a ban would be unconstitutional on its face, and thrown out by the first court to hear it -- and the last.

If it doesn't get banned it will only become the lowest in box office History.


no one would watch that, the only people that watch movies about Christ are Christian, and any movie about christ that says he is not the son of God christians wouldn't watch.

States no longer ban movies haven't you heard so no state will ban it. Maybe some countries will ban it. xx

it will fly ,just like the last temp. of christ it did poorly in the box office; nothing will touch the passion it just killed all Jesus films of all time so no theirs nothing to fear.
