Some people are just products of the environment they grew up in. It can also be result of the person's own inability to think beyond that environment.

Travel, reading, culture and education are the only remedies I know of. I shall not mention who I am talking about here, but certain cultures and beliefs can be more tolerant than others. That is closer to my definition of openness. Some cultures are closed, but there is usually good reason for it buried in history.

It is sometimes the fault of their parents who did not give them an opportunity stand and discover for themselves, in their childhood.
