Those who believe in the bible, know the prophecy of babylon the great being destroyed. Which represents false religion destroyed by the world governments. Until few years ago, I wondered how or what would motivate it. The bible says God puts in their hearts and forces them to do it. I think "our" explanation when it happens will be due to terrorism and to gain world peace. Right now the situation in Iraq looks hopeless with the civil war, and I think things will happen worldwide that will make them say, enough is enough and ban religion worldwide. This also ties in w/ the bible says before God brings judgement and destroys those not serving him, man will be crying out, "Peace and Security!". Anyway, how do you think this will happen?

I’ve seen Bush on TV say those very words many times, so I wouldn’t hold my breath on any key phrases although it does seem very close. I’ve heard several discussions about terrorism how it could be the starting point of it.
This topic always reminds me of the way God’s son Jesus came into town. Many were expecting some big extravagant entrance, probably loud with bright colors and so fourth. But he was riding on an ***. So just keep in mind the way God sees things are much different than ours. I’m sure you know this, but I say it again because some of mans speculations/views of how Gods will would occur were wrong right up until it occurred, unless obviously they were given direct words in detail. The most people could to to ensure Safety was to simply follow direction given to them from the bible.

Jesus was constantly correcting the view points of his Disciples. Back then they kept getting hung up on the kingdom, arguing over whom was the greatest of the apostles etc... John the Baptist was reluctant to baptize Jesus because he knew how great Jesus was and only did so after his view point was corrected by Jesus himself. Again because man is imperfect we tend to see things very one sided, only according to our limitations. I think God has a way we would have never predicted to bring down Babylon. Not necessarily a showy loud display, but an unpredicted one.

We know it will happen swiftly and inevitably. Just as a title wave raises no scientist, debater, powerful or wise person(s) can stop it. .

Religion never will be banned. You have to look at history. When Stalin took control of Russia, he outlawed all religion. Guess what? It simply went underground. When Spain invaded Mexico and South America, they banned native religion.s Guess what? It caused mass rebellions, and--it went underground. There's a reason for the success of the two greatest western civilizations of all-time; Rome and the United States. They allowed freedom of religion. In the case of Rome, a great cause of their downfall was the violent repression of Christians, and then, the violent repression of Pagans after Christianity became the dominant religion.

I hope this gives you some historical perspective.

Religion will never be banned, whether I think it should be or not (and I do). It will always have a place in society, but I do think it will be downplayed and regulated more so than it is. However, this won't happen for many years yet. But, as the secular community gets louder and stronger, religion will eventually have it's place that is outside of government and maintream society ... being kept to it's own followers instead of the main population, as it should have been to begin with.

Do we really need to ask that? Jehovah puts it into the goverment's heads, there is nothing Satan's other organizations can do. The way things are going it can't be much longer, especially with how horrible religion is looking...one can't really blame the governments looking at religion at one point and thinking: Why have we allowed them so long? Especially so called Christianity. Of course God's true followers won't be intimidated, and we remain steadfast. The rest of religion can't stand as they don't have Jehovah's backing

It's not that simple and I do not think it's possible in the present. Banishing religion is easily written but basically you're attempting to remove a set of beliefs and ideologies on a wide scale level that accounts for the majority of the population on Earth.

Won't. The Soviets tried it, with negligible success. I doubt that anyone else is foolish enough to even try. The mere fact that religion causes all sorts of conflict, wastes billions of dollars a year, and is provably useless won't make a difference -- people like their warm fuzzies.

You could be right, the world situation certainly appears to be moving in that direction.

religion wont be banned, it will be forced upon people. The antichrist(Roman Catholic Church) will employ the civil government to enforce their religious beliefs.

Religion will not be banned, or at least that's not the intent of atheists.
