Most of the time, I got a big black block on my TV screen no matter I am trying to watch TV or tapes. The block is so big, I can only see about 1cm at the top, bottom, left, right side. Does anyone know why?

The close caption is on. Go to your menu section and turn it off. That should work.

i am going to't save in ideas if those older vast show Projection TVs had lamps that gave you the photographs on the show, and no matter if or not they'd 2 lamps. If tha's the case, perhaps one is lengthy gone kaput ! I only appeared in an files website that deals with problems with older TVS , like those vast show ones, and there is a listing as long as your arm of problems with those Toshibas after about 8-10 years. lots of the parts are literally not obtainable now for those vast show format TVs. i in my opinion imagine that is time to apply this as your valid excuse to improve to HDTV (lcd- SONY-40 2"- BRAVIA- outfitted-in HD TUNER )

Maybe you have the closed caption or teletext turned on. If the box is that big, It's most likely teletext, so try turning it off.

Your TV is probably glitched, or the pixels are dying.
