Jesus himself said to not judge, but to love and not judge those who are different from you. As with the story of the Samaritan and the Jew. Two totally different peoples who had had many arguments and practically had a history of hate against each other.

Okay first off I want to say that everytime I see people protesting homosexaulity and saying that God hates them it makes me angry sad and very frustrated. Being of the Christian faith I try my best not to judge anyone, I am human and I will admit that. As for homosexuality, I don't agree with it and I think that it is a perversion and it is not natural. If it were and if some one were truly born homosexual then they would be able to procreate with each other. Yes you can come back with the retort of some straight couples can't have children they were born that way, well my response to that is show me one homosexual couple that has reproduce a child together and I might take that into consideration. I don't hate homosexual people, I just don't think that their sexual preferance is okay. So one last note for the people who are hatefull and judging, God said that no sin is greater than another and that the gossiper is just as the murderer. That being said quit spreading hate and start spreading love. Jesus did hang out with the outcasts the bible says so.

*edit* homosexuality is not a new thing, it has been around for thousands of years in fact the Romans participated in such acts quite frequently and it was a widespread thing.

Think of it this way: The bible is like a giant buffet table. There's a great variety of delicious dishes to nourish you and satisfy every taste and appetite. And some real nasty ones too. Choose wisely and you can have a great meal. If you're not selective you'll probably get some bits that clash and get a nasty tummy ache.

In other words the bible doesn't hang together very well as a unified body of work. It is a collection of works written over a long period of time by a lot of different writers. It says lots of contradictory things and even bible scholars don't always agree what it means. Same thing applies to the Koran. You may pick and choose the things that apply to you and that agree with you. That's what Billy Graham and all the great preachers do. Or you can walk away from the table if it doesn't pass your smell test and that's okay too.

Bottom line: If the bible or Koran or any writing is giving you cold pricklies rather than warm fuzzies then throw it overboard and don't let the religious manipulators dump their power trips on you.

The bible speaks out against both homosexuality and judging. It says in the bible that man is supposed to procreate with woman, and anything else is a sin. The bible speaks out against judging too. Jesus said not to lay judgement upon your fellow person, but to show compassion and understanding, and to pray for your fellow person whenever they are in need. However, being Christian doesn't mean going to church and being in an organized religion. Being Christian means that you believe that God is your father and Jesus is his only begotten son, sent to the world as your lord and savior who died on the cross so you could be forgiven of your sins, who resurrected on the third day, and Finally, ascended into heaven on the fifth day, only to return to earth again to lead his followers into heaven.

This will probably not be received well, but I'll try, Christians really should not judge an individual whether he/she be homosexual or heterosexual, Christians sometimes preach against homosexuality because it is contrary to God's word, but they should make a point that they are not attacking the individual, they are attacking the fact that it is a sin to do so, we are to love all people, hate sin, sometimes the effort is either misinterpreted or the is the person giving the message does not have an accurate understanding

Loving your neighbor does not mean you agree for what they do! And if we adore them as ourselves then we could consistently warn them bearing directly to the hazards of their existence-variety and how that's in opposition with God's be conscious -- caution them IS love. Christians are not called to choose those exterior the church, yet conversing out against sin is infrequently judging. why is pointing out a incorrect judging? ex. might I be judging if i instructed you have been going the incorrect way down a one-way highway? i've got not condemned you if i do this, I purely instructed you went the incorrect way, and thats a very good thank you to get harm.

The "Bible" indeed says not to judge. Some people may take the "Bible" too literally, forgetting that taboos, languages, customs, technology, science, politics, and translations change over time. In the story of "Sodom and Gommoriah", I do not see any line condemming the citizens for being homosexual, but the citizens were being condemmed for rape, incest, adultery, and murder. Some people tend to very unfairly group the gay and lesbian community with the citizens of "Sodom and Gommoriah".
There are also some "Christians" that will not cast out or judge a homosexual, but pray that they will change. Hopefully, with more of the controversy, regarding homosexuality and the church, more denominations will have a better understanding of homosexuality and be more open, and welcome gays and lesbians, with open arms and compassion. Some denominations are slowly taking steps now, such as "The Episcopal Church, "The Methodist Church", "The Unitarian Church", and even, to a lesser degree "The Mormans" and some very modern non-denominational groups. The Catholic Church is also starting to recognise one's freedom of religion, and are becoming more friendly with leaders of "Jewish" sects and "Islamic" sects. The church is becoming more tolerant, but it is happening slowly. It might help a lot of people to remember, that Jesus Christ did not judge. Jesus saw good in everyone. Remember, he saw good in Mary Magdaline, who was a former prostitute, who was one shunned by some of his early followers, and he advised them, to put down their hatred and forgive.

The Bible actually says we are to judge rightly. We can't just take a part of the Bible and throw the rest away. Read the context in which it says do not judge. It is about judging others where you yourself are failing. God says he hates homosexuality. It is an ABOMINATION to him. No where does it say that it is OK. He hates sex used outside of marriage of one man and one woman. Sex is a gift. Use it wisely, and it is one of the greatest gifts on earth. Use is outside of the context it was created for, and it can cause some of the greatest damage. Like a fire, it can destroy all with which it comes in contact. Or, it can do its job (uniting a husband and wife) beyond what anything else can do. Abusing it is not a victimless sin. There are NO victimless sins. All of society - and every society who has gone into homosexuality overwhelmingly - pays for this sin. I do not hate homosexuals i love them. I want them to be saved before it is too late. Jesus did not ignore sin. He said GO! and SIN NO MORE! (emphasis mine)

As a person in society, as long as you are flaunting your sins in my face i have a right to show you God's hatred of that sin in yours. To not do so is to hate you! :-( How can you repent and be saved from the rightful punishment of your sin if you will not acknowledge it is sin? God says it is sin! Whether or not you admit to knowing it is a sin, it is a sin. That is the truth. We all have sinned. That is the truth. The wages of sin is death. That is truth. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. That is truth. If we confess our sins, repent and call on the name of the Lord we may be saved. That is the truth.
Now, you can believe this and act on it, or you can believe this and continue your own way knowing you will not receive eternal life until you repent, or you can NOT believe this and go on your merry (or if consequences of your actions catch up with you on earth - your miserable) way towards the place of judgement. You have been told. Your blood is not on my hands.

In the Bible there are steps we should go through if a brother (supposing the person is a member of a church) is in sin. This requires a knowledge of what sin is and a judgement call as to whether this fits the bill. It doesn't say let all sinners continue in sin without confronting them, It says go confront them! First alone, then with witnesses, then before the church; if they do not repent they are to be given over to Satan. So that he can have his way with them. Why? So That They Will REPENT!!! and come back to God. IF we do not confront you with the truth of your sin, your blood will be on our hands. OH, How Guilty WE are! We do not want to do our job. It is much easier to stand by and watch everyone fail. Sometimes throwing stones at them as the slide into an eternity of the punishment for sin we could not lovingly confront them with. How can we share the good news without first sharing the bad? Everyone has a choice, choose life or choose death.

Actually, there is no place in the Bible that tells us "do not judge!"

We are told to judge according to the way we would want to be judged and to make sure our own backyard is clean before telling another to clean theirs.

If we followed your thinking, we could not "judge" those who murder or steal either.

With homosexuality, we are clearly told that God sees it as sin. (Romans chapter 1 is very clear on this) but we should not hate the sinner as many seem to do nor should we single out this one sin and disregard all the others...including the one WE have problems with ourselves.

Our command has never been to do house cleaning ourselves on other people. Our command has been and will always be to tell the good news of Jesus Christ.

If anyone would want to change their lifestyle, I would encourage it. It is always good to improve spiritually, no matter what the bad habits we've picked up along the way. I would rather, however, speak of my own imperfections, for I am not worthy, and have fallen into the bottomless pit. I have not lived to my fullest potential nor have I utilized all the gifts given me. So I would not say to anyone anywhere: You are bad, and you should change, for I am bad, and I should change. And even so, having done so, can I look my brother in the eye and say: you are bad, when I am good? No, instead I would say, When you no longer wish that, there is a way out, but it is difficult

The path is rocky and treacherous and steep.

Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality,(1 Corinthians 6:9) Sry dude.
