like anything else infecting, pus coming out of it or just around the area, pain, utter grossness and a danger of it spreading to other people or on/in another part of your body.

It will be tender to the touch and swollen and red.If you poke at it with a serial pin white pus will come out.Make the wound bigger and treat it with Hydrogen Peroxide.
