I donot believe that you would be arrested for the prank call. Did you apolize for what you did. You evidently realize the severity of your actions. There is no such thing as a harmless prank call. You didnot mention whether you knew tis person or if it was just a one-time thing. The person that you called might have been frightened by the call. DONOT do it anymore. You should let the person know that you are sorry and that you donot intend to do such things again. Everyone generally makes mistakes. The thinh is not do do it again.

Sometimes, I wish they would arrest kids just to teach them a lesson. So they won't do it in to there adult hood.
I have a friend that has been getting a phone call ten times a day asking if a specific person is there. To you it may be harmless. But to THEM IT'S NOT, its's bothersome, disrespectful, Rude, Annoying. And until it happens to you. I'm afraid that you will never learn. Maybe because they are calling you back (caller ID) there giving you a taste of your own medicine.
But with my friend she has no idea who's calling her cause of private caller and its a jerk of a guy who's calling with the same thing every time. You are so lucky that all there doing is just calling you back and not taking it to the police yet.
Prank's are not funny. Grow up missy.

Unless you reveal yourself on the phone at the end of the prank and tell the party on the other end it was a prank it can be considered harrassment and that would make you eligible for arrest. Even after revealing yourself the party on the other end can still file a complaint.
You are better off leaving prank calls to the morning radio shows. They can afford lawyers!

She could possibly get charged with harrasment, but, at least in Washington, there would have to be more than one phone call, and the person being harassed has to ask the harasse to stop. If your friend threatened anyone, even jokingly, that's a different story. It's not a good idea, but more often than not, law enforcement has better things to do with their time than worry about a teenager making prank calls.

You can get arrested. It's harassment and depending on the nature of the call, that can lead to additional charges. If it's once the people probably won't bother unless it seems evident to them that you're unrepentant - which is seems. Did you know the people? Do you know what they have going on in their life? A baby asleep? A loved one ill? Likely they're just annoyed but you never know - keep that in mind.

You won't be arrested, but the person is going to keep calling back until he or she gets your parents and then you will be in Big Trouble.
