It makes you FEEL warmer due to vasodilation of blood vessels, which diverts warm blood to the skin. But you lose body heat this way (unless the outside temperature is over body temperature).

It doesn't really make you warmer. Just makes you feel that way. The alcohol causes blood vessels away from your core (so arms, head, legs..) to dilate, so warm blood reaches those areas more.

Alcohol, especially Brandy, can make you sweat bullets, while you totally inactive. Don't drink it if you are in a crowded place or plan on being active. It can ruin your evening out. My hair even gets wet I perspire so much after even 1 drink. Stick to pop or something with no alcohol.
I believe the alcohol turns to sugar while it contricts your blood vessels and veins.

It actually doesn't, you just think it does because it constricts the blood vessles making the flow of blood a shorter trip through the body.
