Do I need to bleach it? I just want to dye some of my hair blue not all.

I tried bleaching my hair but the bleach colour didn't turn out..Must I go to the salon to get the bleach colour to turn out well?

What happened when you bleached? To get the blue looking good you have to get the hair faily light with the bleaching - if you hair still had orange tones in it the blue might not show up too well. i got my hair highlighted purple at a salon and they bleached it first and the chick said it was permanent but after like 6 washes it started coming out so the bleached parts started showing. i wouldnt recommend you bleach it. just go to hot topic and bye electric blue hairdye. oh yeah if your hairs blacks why does your avatar have brown hair?

you can go to a salon, and they MIGHT be able to do it with their dye without bleaching it! is your hair dyed black? if it is then you WILL have to bleach it..if not, they do sell some dyes that will work! i was able to get my hair NEON red with out bleaching it...naturally my hair is black! so sometimes it works, i would suggest a salon! people that specialize in color!

If you are using a color such as Manic Panic the directions say the proper procedure is to bleach the areas where you want the color and the rest will blend during the rinse process.

yer prob have to bleach the parts you want or even just dye your hair a lighter brown then the blue will prob come out

You'll need to get the part you want dyed blue bleached.

Manic panic sucks.... you should use Special FX, it is a higher quality dye. But yes, you will need to lighten the hair that you want to be blue before you smirf it.
