I starting seeing this older guy and he has been moving way to fast for me emotionally I want to tell him i no longer want to see him. How should i do it? I mean we have only been on 2 official dates (in a week) but he is really eager. Whats the polite thing to do. Surely after 2 bloody dates i dont have to do this face to face? Whats the best way to do this? Help me out, am i just being a coward?

Why don't you talk it out with him and give the relationship a chance? Why do you have to be so cold-hearted and callous? Why do women think "break up!" whenever they are uncomfortable but whine the house down when the guy does it to them?

Be open, honest, and firm.....

Tell him what you think and move on with your life.
If you take the easy road and break it off over the phone (ick) or in email (yuk) you risk him not getting the picture.

Then again, if you risk a face-to-face encounter at someplace comfortable you might fold and consider another 'pity-date' (argh).

Try to meet him in passing, that way you 'have something to do' or 'someplace to go'. Tell him that it is and you're very uncomfortable.

DO NOT TELL HIM HIM IT IS MOVING TOO FAST..!!!
He will only think you are trying to tell him to slow down and that you are still interested in him.

No you're not being a coward at all, you're just trying to be considerate... BIG difference! Just give him a call & simply tell him the truth, that you realize that you don't want to jump into a relationship so fast... Then say "let's be friends", isn't that what people say? Haha

yes you are a coward, you probly start likeing
someone else and want to give this guy the boot, you want to get rid of him just because he is eager? why not just tell him he is going to fast and you need time and for him to slow down.

tell him he seems like a nice guy or whatever but tell him your not ready to jump so fast into this and that we should see other ppl or just be friends. Tell him face to face dont give him a note or anything like that

First sit him down and explain to him how you feel.
let him know you are not ready for a serious relationship right now.
tell him you like him,but you would like to get to know him better, but you'd like to take your time, and move slower.
If that doesn't work tell him nicely its over.
If that doesn't work just don't answer his calls any more or answer the door to him.
some people just don't seem to get the point unless you get nasty with them.
hope this helps some what
take care

The only way for him to get the real picture is for you to tell him face to face. Be honest, be rude if need be, hey some guys just dont get it..

If he is that clingy after two dates face to face he will only try to manipulate you and make you feel bad. Call him and tell him it's over, you aren;t ready, you arent intersted. It's as simple as that.

Tell him you have to go to Sweden to finish the sex reassignment hormone therapy. If he sticks around after that, accuse him of being gay, and not liking you for who you are. He will be sufficiently confused and will likely require a stint in the looney bin.
