What your scale says is NOT the truth about how fat you are. Stop focusing on your weight. Focus on your BMI, there are body mass index charts all over the web.
As for why you lost when eating in a way that makes most women gain, that is due to your bodies metabolism. The reason everyone says "This diet worked" and 'This diet didn't do anything!" is because it was or was not the appropriate diet for what caused their weight problem
If you can eat carbs and lose, enjoy! Just remember to keep a watch on your BMI and how your clothes fit.

It's called "zig-zag" dieting.
You really almost "forced" your system to burn more calories.
Your digestive system is a VERY efficient piece of work!
It will digest what you give it.
Now if you ate a LOT of "cheat" foods one day, but decrease it significantly the next, your body thinks that it is supposed to still burn off the same amount of heavy calories as the previous day.
Your body changes its metabolic rate.
It's a good thing to do this when you hit plateaus in dieting.
If you're young, then you're fine. But don't let that be a habit!

Well if you are enjoying every mouthful of what you eat and not binging then you are probably eating less than what you were when you were dieting and stressing about it.
I say, everything in moderation, eat exaclty what you feel like not what you think you should eat, enjoy every mouthful and excercise lots!
Good job!
