You do your thing girl and forget what any hypocrite says on the subject. Those hypocrites loud mouth caught with theirs pans down doing the very own things they're condemning others for should teach you a lesson, beginning with priest or preachers in your church. Sins and morals are like beauty. I've never seen and intelligent and valuable argument why a sin is a sin. There's not such a thing as a god telling peoples what's right and wrong. No self appointed saint or prophet has ever presented a logic and pragmatic argument about why something so good as masturbation has to be so bad. Its a matter of opinion. Yours an my are as good as any body else and I don't care if they tell me theirs come from God.

Some people believe that certain Old Testament writings say that masturbation is a sin. However, after researching the topic in my younger years, I fully believe that masturbation is NOT a sin. However, LUST is a sin.
So, be careful -- if you masturbate -- that you are not doing so in a way that is sinful (ie: fantasizing about having sex with a neighbor or coworker, etc).
As for any points aside from religious beliefs, masturbation is not bad. People do bad things using masturbation (pervs show themselves to others; harmful objects; etc) from time to time. In and of itself, I believe masturbation can offer a healthy release.
BTW, there are some Christian counselors and authors who write on the subject. Seek them out and read their material. Most importantly, pray about it.

It does not say in the Bible to not masturbate. But it does say to not lust. It's pretty hard to masturbate without lusting about someone. If you are unable to stop, it also shows a lack of self-control, and self-control is a fruit of the spirit. We are not to be slaves to anything. If you feel guilty about it, I would not recommend it. But I think that in itself, there is nothing wrong with it. But when you look at it practically as a Christian, it is best to avoid. I personally feel it is a sin for me to do it, but I cannot judge anyone else since it has not been specifically mentioned as a sin.

I have never seen a specific scripture describing masturbation as a sin. On the other hand if fornication is involved:
1Cr 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
I Cr 13;8a, Love never fails!!!!!

Boy there sure are a bunch of you who know a lot about how to diddle your winky on here, and you mean girls like to do it too!
Well in that case give me a few minutes... umm not bad, in fact it feels pretty darn good... now it feels even better, better, better, oh, oh, OMG...
Well it's a little messy at the end, but I don't personally feel it's sinful, maybe you should try it.

Well, in the Bible it says that God kills a man for "spilling his seed". It's safe to assume that he is in hell now. I guess the guys who wrote the Bible didn't consider the fact that women could masturbate too and do so without spilling seed. I'm not sure if God hates male masturbation because of the waste of sperm or just hates the act in general. This is another bit of evidence against the veracity of the Bible.

No, masturbation is not wrong, and nothing in the Bible says it's wrong (if I'm wrong, please correct me). I've seen two people here already misrepresent Genesis 38:9, and I urge you all to read more and understand the context. Do this, and you will understand Onan was not killed for masturbating, but for intentionally avoiding God's will for him to create an heir.

Masturbation is disgusting.
I just hate anything sexual.
Wasn't it unusual to most of the people in this world that the pope did not masturbate or had sexual relations his entire life?
I hate bibles. I heard people are adding more and more stuff to it.
How can it be the word of Jesus? Im not trusting anything listed on there. He wasn't the one that wrote it. Im sure that the publisher made some changes to the way he/she likes it.

It sure is a sin, but it's just a minor sin, we're all sinners and all sins are forgiven.......including the 10 commandments. Masturbating, i believe, it's a violation of the 6th commandment......committed a sin w/ ur mind.

It is not a sin, and is a natural way for all humans to explore their sexuality. And if they tell you that they don't, barring any physical inability, they are lying, no matter how strong their religious beliefs. I have found that people who preach absolutes are the first one's to break the rules that they preach.
