Not sure what religion he belongs to, or more importantly, his PARENTS belong to, but I've heard the Jehovah's Witnesses claim blood transfusions are equivalent to cannibalism, which is total garbage. Some cooky "Christian" religions snub medical intervention in general, thinking faith must heal you or some crap like that. I mean, come on, the book of Luke was named after a physician for Paul! You'd think the fact that one of the disciples had a physican would make it clear enough, but some people like to play their little games and take the Bible out of context (or ignore it completely).

It is not a test of my faith to see that. If you look elsewhere, you will find the same thing. Look at the Glory Barn and the statistics there. People were as much or more at risk there for loss of life and problems. People driving cars who need glasses and are instructed by the church not to get them is one area of control that the JW's don't have. Medical intervention in the birth process is another.

properly, it probably replaced into your fault, yet I even ought to confess that i ought to probably do a similar element if I suggested a doggy operating free. I have, somewhat, and that i have stuck large dogs besides, yet they have come to me even as suggested as or coaxed and that i did not scruff them, yet positioned a leash on them as a replace. As for each body affirming that this doggy is staggering, possibly that is in elementary words dealing with a terror degree. I had a large mixed breed who replaced into petrified of each and everything even as she replaced into that age,and that i have also had a VICIOUS 3 week previous doggy: <<<

So the fact that God didn't choose for him to die in the attack is not evidence that God wishes for him to live>

This child has not made his own decision. He has let influence of others make this decision. If I were his doctor, I would take medical custody and save him anyway.

Against blood transfusion? Wow. What faith is that? Blood transusion has saved like ONE HUNDRED BILLION ZILLION LIVES. I think that would test my faith and that reason would win out.

Just one more example of how religion does harm. If I believed in a god who let a shark bite my leg off my faith would be gone with it.

It would be a hard choice, but if that is really what he believes, he should be allowed to make that choice. there are worse things than death, but that doesn't mean the ones left behind won't grieve.
