Love is a basic dimension of human experience that is variously conveyed as a sense of tender affection, an intense attraction, the foundation of intimacy and good interpersonal chemistry, willing self-sacrifice on behalf of another, and as an ineffable sense of affinity or connection to nature, other living beings, or even that which is unseen. It manifests itself in feelings, emotion, behavior, thoughts, perception and attitude. It influences, underlies and defines major patterns in interpersonal relationships and self-identification.
The diverse range of meanings associated with the English word contrasts with the plurality of Greek words for love, reflecting the depth, versatility, and complexity of the concept. This diversity of meanings is reflected in the many distinct classifications of love including romantic love; sexual desire; platonic love; religious love; familial love; true love; and the more casual application of the term to anything pleasurable, enjoyable, desirable, or preferred, including activities and favorite foods.
Here is a poem I love that describes just what love is:
Love is a thing shared by two
Love is what you feel for me and you
Love is precious when its shared
Love is danger when its dared
Love wanders and searches for the one
Love plays and just do it for fun
Love lets you hear love songs to emote
Love lets you make sweet poems & a quote
Love makes the world go around
Love makes us happy if the one we love
is finally found
Love turns the world upside down
Love cheers us never with a frown
Love makes you cry
Love sacrifices and says goodbye
Love has its own reason and time
Love can make someone you love "mine"
Love makes a person kiss
Love makes a person miss
Love is experienced by all
Love conquers when you fall.
There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved. You have to find the right one and I have done just that. You know you are in love when you see the world in there eyes, and there eyes everywhere in the world. I am going to tell you about me a little to show you what love is. If asked why I love him I would say, It’s the lust in his lips, the love in his eyes. It’s the softness of his skin, the silk in his hair. It’s the twist in his walk; it’s the sweetness in his talk. It’s the way he loves me that makes me love him each day. That is what I would say. To the world he may be one person, but to me he is the world. When I look into his eyes, it's like falling in love all over again.
Two Hearts
Two hearts intertwined...
Different views...
Different dreams...
Different needs...
Different wants...
Bound by a fragile string called LOVE...
Union as willed by GOD...
A journey in life...
May be pounded by the forces of nature...
May be struck by the fiercest lightning...
Yet two hearts bound by a delicate twine...
STRONG enough...
To stand the test of time.
Love is when you miss him even before he's gone, When you could listen to him talk all night And never get tired of hearing his voice, When the sound of his name sends chills down your spine, And when you see his smile the second you close your eyes!
Love is the greatest feeling! when you would do anything for that person. You want to see them happy above yourself. I have found the greatest man who cares about me and treats me like his angel. He loves me unconditionally and would do anything to make sure I am happy. He is always proud of me and I am always proud of him. Love is the greatest feeling love is like a playlove is what I feel for him each and every day love islike a smile love is like a song love is a great emotion that keeps us going strong. I love him with all my heart my body and my soul. We have poured our entire souls into each others right from the start. I love him once, I love him twice, in the dark and in the light. He is there when no one cares brought me back when I was unaware. He's my angel my saving grace. Made me strong when those problems I couldn't face. He is more to me than words explain, hes like the blood within my veins, his tender touch and loving smile makes my existance worth the while. He has my soul and my life thats why I love him with every night.
That is what love is all about. You have to find the right person and love and care for each other unconditionally. I hope you the best of luck in your life of love and happiness. I am sure you will find the right one.

There are two kinds of love. Self-love and Selfless love. Most people do not have a problem with loving themselves. But sacrificing themselves for another is the hard part. We do give of ourselves to others but the means to the end is still only if we get something out of it. That is why the divorce rate is 50% and climbing here in the U.S. Someone in those relationships loves themselves more than they love the other person. Treating someone else as you would want to be treated is the beginning of love. Then, the more you sacrifice of your time, money, and energy, and friendship to someone else (willingly, not by coercion or force), the more true love you have.

LOVE---- love is NOT a feeling but an action. Love is the greatest, strongest emotion, and at every human's need. True love is sacrificial, and rare, real love is everlasting. Real love thinks of the other first.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love is a feeling. Love is the feeling of attraction toward the loved object. Love is the word we give to extra strong feelings of attraction. Loving generally means placing such a high degree of importance on the loved object that it becomes second only to yourself. However, these feelings of attraction wax and wane, come and go, rise and fall. Love can make you feel good, hurt, joyous, sad, excited, unhappy and miserable. Love can give you wings to fly or bury you deep beneath the earth. Love is a very personal feeling, one that each of us chooses. Love is totally subjective. And, if you can reach that state of inner peace where you can honestly own you emotions and honor them, you can be love.

Thats easy;
Love is that feeling you get when you don't want to be around anyone else but the other person.
True Love is when the other person feels the same way about you.
Love can be confusing if it is only a one-way thing.

EEP! LIAR! heh
just thought id say that...
anyways Love is indescribable. it comes and is just.. not understood. it would take alot to say but.
Would you die for them?
give away everything for them?
do anything for them?
Would you stay with them no matter what?
accept the things they do wrong and not get mad at them for not being "perfect
are you able to forgive them no matter what?
can you talk to them about anything?
stay together after every fight and not care what you fought about?
talk out every problem?
not get mad if they leave the soup on the sink and not in the bathtub? (my parents do that allot >_< )
its not east to say but if yes too all this your on a good track but not quite. its when a person asks you "have you been in love? and explain what it is"
and you just find yourself at a loss of anything to say but.. "its something indescribable"
