I think he and Eve became convinced that God was holding out on them and the He didn't actually have their best interests at heart.
Trust me, it wasn't the apple in the tree.....it was the pair on the ground.

We're talking about the fictional characters of Adam and god, since neither existed, right? So this is more in the way of a story analysis?
OK, um, adam had a perfect brain and so did eve, so they were perfect except that eve was less perfect than adam and was tempted by a talking snake, who we now know was Snoop Dogg. So after eve at something out of the tree of something or other, adam used his perfect brain to try and hide and god used his perfect brain to find the hiding place, and adam didn't get to base in time so he lost and got kicked out of some garden.
Yknow, I just read back what I wrote, it's really whacky!

I believe I Timothy 2:14 states that Adam willfully transgressed, with his eyes wide open, whereas Eve was actually deceived by the serpent, the Greek word used here being quite strong; it could be translated that Eve was thoroughly hoodwinked. So Adam's transgression was the greater. He basically chose Eve over God.

It was forbidden. It's human nature to do what you're told you shouldn't. But to go against God would be a sin, wouldn't it? And if sin didn't begin until after the fruit was eaten, then why did Eve bite it in the first place? Contradiction right there.
Anyways, it's a good thing they did disobey. It was the tree of knowledge. Better to be sinful and wise than divine and stupid.

No one will ever truly know except God but it seems as if he did not trust God enough. Apparently, since he knew Eve would now die for disobeying the one law which Jehovah had given them, he prefered to die as well. I seriously doubt that he realized he was condemning the entire human race to death as well.

His wife, Eve, convinced him that it would be okay. She was decieved by the serpent (later acknowledged as Satan) who convinced Eve that God was trying to trick them by keeping knowledge from them and lying about the death part. This is the first record of temptation. How was Adam or Eve supposed to respond. I am sure they regreted making the decision, but it's not like they were prepared and informed about defences against temptation like we should be. It never existed before then by an outside scource.

What I want to know is why he picked the wrong damn tree? Who cares about good and evil if he had picked the tree of life he could have still did the evil without it being evil and lived forever the idiot. xx

For the same reasons you do sometimes. I guess sin and curiosity are just human nature.
