Maybe some kind of energy that lingers.

I am an Atheist. I do not believe in any kind of god. But I think that maybe there is something. I had an experience after my brother died which has changed my mind about that.

In the end, everything is just energy, but I think you mean conscious energy?

No, I don't think anything exists after death, because consciousness is a product of a living brain. When the brain dies, consciousness ceases to exist.

ANd the atheists above are wrong. An atheist only needs to not believe in god. Buddhists are atheist, yet they believe in a soul and reincarnation. The concept of a soul can exist without the need for a god.

There is always energy; but life after death,I'm afraid not and I've buried plenty of them. Energy lingers we don't.
