Nope.
And by definition, a doxiepoo can't be a "pure breed," because a doxiepoo is the offspring of a dachsund and a poodle. A purebred has parents that are both of the same breed.
You're not likely to ever see doxiepoos as a kennel club recognized breed. Most dog fanciers wouldn't even consider it a breed. The wikipedia article below has some good information for you.

Your dog is a cross between a Dachshund and Poodle. It ia a mutt, why would you think it could be AKC registered? Why would you pay $650 for a crossbreed puppy when you can go to your local shelter and get one for so little?
"how did you think a golden retriver and a lab or even a poodle where made, BY CROSS BREADING OR MIX ED BREEDING"
Well the DIFFERENCE is that the breeders were actually trying to make a breed! They had a PURPOSE and a STANDARD for the breed. The 'breeders' of poo's or oodles do not care about that, they are just making puppies, tacking on some silly name, and scamming the public into thinking its an actual breed. In reality, they are still at the F1 stage in breeding and, as such, are NO CLOSER to being a breed than they were 10 years ago.
Sorry you were scammed, hope you love your puppy. Live and learn, do some research next time.

Ah ha ha, sorry darlin'. Do you know anything about breeding? What you have is a Dacshund mixed with a Poodle - how could that be a pure breed? You have a MIXED breed.
The AKC recognizes pure breds (Golden Retriever mates with Golden Retriever, Lab mates with Lab, etc.). These breeders breed for the betterment of the animal (combining the stud and the b*tch which will better each other's faults to acheive a superior 'breed standard' in their litter).
You have a mutt, a mixed breed, like most of America. Anything-poo is a mixed breed. Sorry. Didn't you know what you were buying when you bought it? Did you get papers that claim you are AKC registered? If so, you should sue the breeder because that was a scam.

Any dog who's name ends in poo or doodle is a MUTT.
Doxiepoo - half Dachshund (breed) and half poodle (breed) therefore - MUTT.
They are NOT AKC, they are NOT a breed, they are a mutt that's been sold to you for stupid amounts of money by idiots who think the world needs more dogs when dogs are dying in shelters by the THOUSANDS- and oh by the way, shelter dogs- ALSO mutts, and not nearly as expensive.
Go to www.akc.org - I don't care how many mutts they bred to make yours, he's still a mutt, and when you can't find him in the list of accepted breeds, you'll know why.
Yes, all breeds started out by mixing other breeds, but they were done for a REASON- size, temperment, etc.- not because some bored person said "Hey, what else can I cross with a poodle?" It takes decades, even centuries, to develop a true-breeding strain of dog with a wide enough gene pool to be called a breed, and the day they started letting in puppy mil designer dogs is a sad day indeed for the AKC.
And oh by the way, you could've found the same cross breed at a shelter and paid a $50 adoption fee- probably would've been healthier, too.

no a doxiepoo is not a registered akc breed. the reason for this is that in order to become recognized by the akc, a breed must fulfill several requirements: having been bred purely for many generations with accurate documentation, there being enough general interest in the population, and having an established national breed club.
designer dogs like doxiepoos and goldendoodles etc are a fairly new concept and as such will most likely not be recognized by the akc for many years. there are plenty of breeds on the waiting list that are already recognized by european versions of the akc and have been bred truely for hundreds of generations but are still not recognized.
it is inaccurate to call your dog a "purebred" for these reasons, because it is basically a 2nd generation mixed breed. there is nothing wrong with that, for instance, goldendoodles and labradoodles were bred to help people with both disablities and allergies, which is a noble cause and they fulfill their need very well.
akc registration is not that big of a deal either. in order for your dog become registered, all you need is documentation that it is a recognized pure breed and it's parents were akc registered. dog show champions and pet store crack puppies can both be registered, but it does not prove the quality of either. it is simply a way of keeping track of the breed. many akc-sanctioned activities, like the rally sport or the canine good citizen test do not even require a dog to be a purebred in order to participate.

No. AKC is simply an organization dedicated to collecting money for pure breed dogs only. AKC does not guarantee health or temperament. It doesn't mean you have a good example of a pure breed dog. Only that it is a pure breed. Unless the person registering the dog lies to AKC.
The definition of pure breed is one breed, and one breed only. You have a mutt.
You got robbed.

How can it be a purebred when it is a mixed breed? A purebred is when you breed a poodle to a poodle, a doxie to a doxie. Not when you breed a doxie to a poodle. What you get is a mutt. I hope you didn't pay big bucks for your dog. I am sure it will make you a wonderful pet, but it is not a purebred and can never be AKC registered,

The dog only has to be fully registered with the AKC, (not limited).. if your papers have a purple border, its fine. If the papers have an orange border, your dog is on limited registration and cannot be shown. The dog must be at least 6 months old. The dog must be intact. The dog must not have had any surguries to alter his appearance. The dog can not have any disqualifying traits or display aggression. Check the breed standard for DQ traits. They dont look at the pedigree for showing.. you have a 3 gen pedigree in your possession, but records can be traced farther back than that if the dog is registered.

Doxiepoo...that's Dachshund (sp?) and Poodle right?
Yep, purebred MUTT.
No AKC in her future, sorry. I'll bet you payed a heafty price for her too. Hope she's still worth it to you.
EDIT>> Um, hate to burst your bubble. I don't know what world you're living in, but how did a Doxiepoo come to be?
Regardless of how much money you spent or what your "breeder" told you, Doxiepoos are not recognized by the AKC as purebred (not "purebreed") and they never wil be. Which, by their standards, makes your dog a MUTT.
Did your breeder tell you that the parents are AKC too? Face reality.
Labs and the other breeds you mentioned ARE recognized by the AKC.

A dog can only be an AKC dog if it is a member of the American Kennel Club. If your dog gets accepted into the AKC, THEN it is an AKC dog.
