G'day futrjv,

Thank you for your question.

I don't know but your doctor should. I would make an appointment to see him or her asap. I would try to give up smoking for your sake and the babys.

Hope you sort out your problems asap.

Seasons greetings

Can't say without at least seeing the patient, but fortunately I don't have to in this case. Chest pain of any kind is always Trauma 2 instead of 3 and I can tell you that you need to go to Urgent care or, barring that, Emergency Department. Tell them what you said here. I'm sure you won't have to wait that long to be seen. If the pain is especially intense you could call an ambulance, but you'll probably have to explain to them what Tricuspid Atresia is. If only 5 in every 100,000 live births are affected with Tricuspid Atresia then there are more than decent odds that most paramedics haven't ever seen a case of it.

this sounds similar to what I went through, and it was my right side as well. 3 weeks after delivering my son we thought I had collapsed a lung and was taken to the hospital. I did test after test, and they all were coming back clear. I even did one where I was inhailing steroids so they could take images of my lungs, breathing in and out deeply all while I was still in a lot of pain. I couldn't lay down it hurt too much, I couldn't sit up or walk for the same reason. They finally decided it was a muscle spasm in my neck that went down my chest front and back on the right side. Muscle relaxants and hospital strength liquid t3 via IV and I was feeling better in 30 mins.

Now being that you are pregnant, you shouldn't be smoking anyway, it is also not helping you get over your cold and bronchitis any faster. It also means that you can't take any of the goodies they gave me to help it. Talk to your doctor, he/she might be able to suggest something that won't harm the baby and will help you feel less pain or get rid of it altogether.

don't mess around and go to the doctor -at first i thought you probably pulled a muscle, but if you smoke it could be anything. the fact that you're pregnant complicates things even worse. have it checked out by a doctor so you don't have to worry about it. You could have an infection which would need to be handled right away so that it doesn't hurt the baby.

I'm sorry that you feel so lousy, but you shouldn't be smoking while pregnant! Do yourself and the baby a favor and STOP ASAP! Then I would suggest that you go see your doctor or at least go to a clinic or something! You need to take care of yourself for your own sake but also for the sake of the baby! Get your act together, you can do it!

Pneumonia can mask as back pain. I suggest you go to the ER to
See whats going on. My Husband once had the same symptoms and thought it was just a pulled muscle. It turned out to be pneumonia. Don't mess around...especially if you are pregnant.
