There are NO restrictions on people from overseas owning land in the UK. I sell land in the UK as part of my business and deal with HM Land Registry and HM Revenue & Customs (Stamp Duty Land Tax) on a daily basis. Overseas address' can be entered upon H M Land Registry documents without problem.

There should be more restrictions in America like that I am glad Great Britain has that in effect. For they have to preserve their ownership and government policies. Just think if all of Pakistan or India would buy up the property. They would be like America letting it all go down the drain. America has terrible problems here because they do not enforce the constitution properly and the Federal laws have been made to bend while this horrible administration is in office. I love Great Britain and the British Isles the whole of it gives dignity to the world. For after all it was our once mother country until the Father king George lost his ever loving mind. Otherwise we might have been one great big happy family.

I agree with restrictions on foreign ownership for three reasons:
1. The houses are often left unoccupied and allowed to fall into disrepair. The councils often don't have the power to enforce repairs on the properties which can cause damage to neighbouring ones, and they fall under the category of no known owner.
2. With house prices as they are, local villagers and the rest of the young people can't get to own these properties and are forced into rented accommodation.
3. It seems that some of these houses have been owned by foreign terrorist organisations.

Foreign ownership in a country is prohibited because it will be against national security since the state can lose all of its land to other nationalities.

we certainly should, but its not enough, i would extend it to include
restrictions on british businesses sacking thousands of brit workers and going abroad in search of cheap labour slaves.increas britains ability to stand on her own feet by making more of the goods she requires instead of importing everything.
