I say it is on the basis of this point. The constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishment. While the Bible says most of us are going to burn in a lake of fire. Burning would not be allowed by the constitution. I'd be interested in anyother examples of this along with other agreeing or disagreeing commentary.

Of course. The constitution, and especially the Bill of Rights, was designed for our specific needs, based on modern ideas of human rights, tolerance, and liberty.

The bible, on the other hand, is merely an old book of myths; it is totally unsuitable as a guide to moral behavior. It is full of contradictions and horrible atrocities.

As the Constitution is based upon Masonic virtue, Enlightenment rationalism, and roots its notion of sovereignty in the people rather than Jehovah, the Constitution is a far superior document.

If it were it still wouldn't say much . the constitution has been obliterated to death by amendments and misinterpretation and
just plain ignorance.
Wouldn't freedom be worth fighting for " if it existed "?
oh and freedom of speech how many times have you been censored just at YA.? and don't even use the "N" word even if it is properly used and not a matter of hateful misuse.
Descent one of the pillars of our country supported by the constitution considered now a matter of treason?
both are in serious need of improvement if you ask me.
peace out

You're assuming that the lake of fire is cruel and unusual punishment for those who sin. Is this true?

(By the way, you're also assuming that this is talking about literal burning rather than something figurative.)

If you read the bible, which apparently you havent, then you wouldnt quote it out of context.

If your only criteria is that if you dont like it, its weak, then of course you can find things that you agree more with than others. Liars arent comforted by being surrounded by lying yes-men. If there is a God in the universe, and he wrote a book for humans, one part of the proof of its nonhuman origin is that it doesnt instantly appease you.

God is infinitely disturbing. He says "love your enemies, for give them, bless those who curse you". Think about it, a being of infinite good, who dwells in light so hot its unapproachable, who is infinitely perfect and holy says "bless those who curse". That is just as terrible and bizarre as the place built to destroy the angels who turned against God and tried to steal his throne.. its a place never built for man.. its built to destroy immortal beings. All the humans are is people who sold themselves fully to the fallen angels, that those fallen angels hope to use as flame retardant. They are terrified of that fire.. its not a physical fire, its worse.

God is infinitely just. He cant condemn the good with the bad, but you arent your own standard. What you feel is good isnt infinitely perfect and infinitely applicable to all of creation.

Good night.

Yes, if you noticed that is why religion is becoming less popular because christians are clinging on to their outdated ways instead of adapting to the times.

The Bible was made by God, the Constitution by man. Man is evil and stupid, God is the master and creator of the universe and knows everything.

Whatever you think. Just be prepared to explain it to G-d when you are being judged. Dont rationalize it to me.
