People are interested in relationships more than anything else in the world today. Along with relationships come things like sex, companionship, partnership, helpers and so forth. If the focus of a given relationship is sex then it is because one or both feel themselves validated when they have sex. If the focus is on the relationship, then the sex becomes an interesting and fun part of that relationship. Always ask why someone, including you, is doing something? What are you getting out of it? How do you benefit from doing "it", whatever "it" is?

So many bad things are happening in the world today--the Iraq war, terrorism, global warming, Katrina aftermath etc--that its just too much to handle sometimes. People need an escape so they turn to something that they can have at least a little control over...thus a strong interest in love and sex.

Unless you missed it, or just plain outright failed you lessons on the laws of nature, and they are the only laws that count!
Rule number (1) Survival: do what ever it takes so that you keep on living without getting hurt! Eat, drink, get out of the way of falling hings. Don't make the female mad!
Rule number (2) Mate, do what ever to find, hold, kiss, sex, what ever, but satisfy all aspects of human nature that demands mate!
Having successfully completed 1 and 2 above, you are now emotionally, mentally, physically ready, capable of doing all else.
That is, until either 1 or 2 or both put a demand on you!
Take 1 and 2 out of the picture and there will not be anyone here
and the last, on there way out of here, will not have any interest
in doing anything either!

Relationships are something everyone has to deal with, politics, philosophy, religion is something that apeals to just a portion of the population. I think its the most interesting because its one thing we all have in common.
