A massage will relieve the tension.. but you need to relieve the stress that is causing the tension.

Find something relaxing to do, just to take you mind off things and excersise to clear the mind. You muscles may ache at 1st (if you haven't excersised for awhile) but this will equalize.

Everyone else has mentioned things that may be helpful to relieve tension in your shoulders such as massage and hot packs. The problem is all of those things are temporary. If you do not find the cause of the tension then you can never correct it. Poor posture is often the main cause of tension and pain in the shoulder area. You could ask your doctor for a referral to a Physical Therapist or if you are in a state with direct access you can go on your own. A PT would be able to address any postural issues and anything else that may be contributing to your problem.

My sweetest Negrita,
there is no single person in the whole world who just thinks that what is happening to him right now, what they do is that everybody just makes tension by thinking about things like " oh my god! what do i have to do if ------ happens" ,
you know that you are fine right now but you are nervous about future and that can be a hour later, a day later and maybe a month later.
so what i am trying to tell you is that... come-on! take it easy, look at me i am 20yrs old, i kept thinking about stupid things when i was 15 and i always thought about things like..." what is going to happen next ? what am i gonna do?, but you know what?
now that i am 5 years away from those days and i still think about future. and there would be a time like when i am 25 years old so i presume that also then i would be thinking about future. what is this future ?
dont think about it, I have spent 20 years worring about future and future and future..... while i know that today was a future for me when i was 15 years old, and i am doing quite well and i just wasted my time worring about today 5 years ago.

Exercises them with both stretches and light weights. This is the only thing that has helped me. It may take some time until you notice a big improvement but eventually you will.

You probably strained them somehow. Anything can trigger it. I would just get a massage from someone or use an electronic massager. I myself own an electronic massager, and it feels incredible.

get one of those heat packs, usually they contain wheat and you put them in the microwave for 3 minutes. Or you can just take a really hot bath then do some stretches.
