When should i go from "i like you" to "i love you"?

Tough to say. When you can safely say to yourself that you want to be with no one else, ever, and you believe she is the one. Those words are thrown around too easily these days, make sure you mean it, and if you do, all you can do is hope it is said back with true meaning, and not by reflex. This can be anytime after 3 months I believe, but for some, a lot longer. Just make sure you mean it, and you can't go wrong.

If you just met this girl and have only been going out for a short time (less than 6 months) please don't tell her you love her. I feel that people throw that phrase around too easily. Get to know the person. Get to know what they like, what they hate, what they want in their life, if they pick up after themselves, if they shower daily, or any other thing you can think of before you say "I love you" Love isn't an emotion, love is an action word. You can deeply care for someone, but when you say you love them, that means you are ready to sacrifice your own wants and needs and put their wants and needs above yours, and do this forever because you WANT to, not because they will make you suffer if you don't! :-)

You can always love someone
its one thing to like somebody another to love someone but its whole nother story to be IN love with someone say it as soon as you feel it.
