Follow these steps to turn them off:
1. Go to the Start Menu, and choose Run. Type in MSCONFIG, and then click on the OK button. That'll launch the System Configuration Utility.
2. This program lets us control any of the programs running in the background of your computer. From the list of items on this page, find and click on Selective Startup.
3. UnderneathSelective Startup, remove the checkbox from Load Startup Items.
4. After that, click on Ok, and then let your computer restart.
After this, none of the programs that normally launch when you turn on your computer will start. If you'd like to undo this so that your computer starts up normally again, simply follow these steps but in step 2 click on Normal Startup, and then skip step 3.
That is how you stop programs from starting automatically when starting up your computer. Good Luck.

Click on Start, then choose Run. In the Run box that pops up, in the blank white box type msconfig Now a box will appear that says System Configuration Utility, the last tab says Start Up, choose that one. Uncheck the items you don't want to start up, Hit Apply then Ok. Or you can go to the programs you don't want to start up, and search through them, unchecking the boxes that say Start Upon Windows Start Up.

.
You simply need to take the shortcuts out of your StartUp Folder
1. RIGHT click START > left click Explore >
2. In Explore window left pane scroll down to Programs folder > Start Up folder
3. Double click Start Up folder and remove any program shortcuts you don't want the program to automatically launch on start up.
This will NOT remove the program from your computer.
To remove a program from your computer
you have to go to Add&Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Here are two different places a program can be set to "launch when windows is started".
Start > Run > then type MSCONFIG
click on the "start up" tab, and simply de-select the program(s) you dont wish to run as windows starts up.
Or if windows is loading a program that was placed in the startup folder,... then...
Start > Search > files or folders > then type startup
a folder named startup should apear after the scan. Simply open this folder and if the program you wish to disable is located in this folder, then simply delete it (or move it so it is no longer in the folder).
hope this helps.

This is a very simple task. Start your computer click start, run then type the word msconfig. after the tab opens up click on startup uncheck everything you dont want to start when you start your computer. apply it. then restart your computer. it will say you are using seletive startup. just put a check mark in the box and you wont see that anymore. then your all ready to go.

HI go to Programs -> All Programs -> Startup -> check whether you find any of those programs are appearing in this list. If so, right click and delete those programs.

Click start>all programs>startup
the startup folder contains shortcuts to programs that will start when you log on to your computer.
Delete them. These programs won't start again.
Hope this helped!!!
