Horrible! Chewing gum is awful. Its like watching cows chew cud all day. And people speak with this revolting mess in their mouth, that they have spit running into for hours. I believe its banned in Japan, good idea. People also feel the need to stick it on furniture or drop it on the ground. I think its one of the ugliest things a person can do. As you can tell I have a real thing against gum.

If you are out in public and you are chewing gum there is nothing wrong with that. Now if you were in a business meeting or church and you were chewing gum than it would be considered rude especially if you insisted on popping it.

I don't see anything wrong with it, just as long as you don't pop it, or blow bubbles or chew with your mouth open. That's very annoying. I rarely chew gum, but if I do I do it quietly and with my mouth closed.
Oh, by the way, there is a spell check to use before submitting questions. Be a good idea to use it. Chewing gun? :-)

If you are giving a presentation, or otherwise doing something where people need to listen to you, it's rude. If you start chewing some gum without offering some to the people you are interacting with, it could be rude. Otherwise, it's fine.

I was forced to go to an interview by the unemployment office for a job I absolutely did not want so I showed up late and chewed gum thruout the interview and it worked....I didn't get the job. Oh, I wore heels with no nylons too.

Well, you can chew gum with out people knowing it, it is how you chewed it that make it worst. For as long that you are not working and talking to people while your chewing, that's fine. And also you don't live in Singapore, it's okay. Happy chewing.........

I think it's fine if you're just walking down the street alone, but it can be annoying trying to have a conversation with someone when they are chewing.
personally I don't like chewing when i am talking to someone I don't know very well, I feel pretty self-conscious then.

I think chewing is fine...but chomping, popping, cracking, and blowing bubbles is extremely annoying! Once in a while, I'll get stuck in a check out line or something, and there will be a chick standing behind me cracking her gum...grates on my nerves!

How do you chew on a gun? Do you have to register it if you only use it to chew on?
